The U.S Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Memorial) is a national monument in Arlington, Virginia and is located in Arlington Ridge Park next to the Netherlands Carillon.
The Iwo Jima Statue is a poignant bronze statue sculpted by Felix de Weldon, recapturing the Pulitzer-Prize winning photograph by photographer Joe Rosenthal of five Marines and a Navy Corpsman
raising the American flag atop Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II.
