A brief history;

 

  • Pierre Charles L'Enfant's 'grand boulevard running through the centre of the city, from the Presidential Palace to the legislative building. "Pennsylvania Avenue" today is a pretty tree-lined street with parks, memorials, theatre's hotels, museums & assorted government buildings border the street on either side.
