A brief history;

  • Arlington National Cemetery is a military cemetery in Arlington County, Virginia.

  • This has being the final resting place for U.S Veterans since the American Civil War.

  • The memorials, monuments and iconic but simple marble headstones honour members from all branches of the U.S Military, and also pay respect to astronauts, nurses, chaplains, war correspondents and those unknown.

  • The cemetery, Arlington House (Robert E. Lee Memorial), Memorial Drive, the Hemicycle & Arlington Memorial Bridge, form the Arlington National Cemetery Historical District, listed on the National Register of Historical Places in April, 2014.
