A brief history of tidal island to accompany my Llanddwyn Island photography

Llanddwyn Island is a narrow finger of land on the western-side of Newborough Beach, lined with rolling sand dunes, rocky outcrops & historic buildings.

Llanddwyn is not actually a island but a "tidal island" it remains attached to the mainland at all but the highest tides.

Llanddwyn Island provides unrivalled views of the Snowdonia Mountain range and is part of the Newborough Warren National Nature Reserve.
