A brief history of tidal island to accompany my Llanddwyn Island photography

  • Llanddwyn Island is a narrow finger of land on the western-side of Newborough Beach, lined with rolling sand dunes, rocky outcrops & historic buildings.

  • Llanddwyn is not actually a island but a "tidal island" it remains attached to the mainland at all but the highest tides.

  • Llanddwyn Island provides unrivalled views of the Snowdonia Mountain range and is part of the Newborough Warren National Nature Reserve.
