• The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool (Reflecting Pool) is a long rectangular man-made pool created to accompany the Lincoln Memorial and originally to provide the unofficial dividing line between the Washington Monument (east) the official western terminus of The Mall & the beginning of the National Mall (west) which would run west towards the Neoclassical temple, the Lincoln Memorial.
